SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WSBT) -- We've got some good news for fans of McDonald's soft serve ice cream.

According to Business Insider, certain locations are using a device that will make their ice cream machines -- notoriously known for often being out of order -- easier to run. Insider says technology solution Kytch doesn't change the way the machine functions but will help employees understand what's happening when it appears to be broken.

"This is a stressful job, so if I can reduce unnecessary stress on the managers or the crew, then that's a good thing," said a McDonald's franchisee who operates three stores in New York, two of which use the Kytch device.

Insider reports that corporate isn't currently pushing for every store to use the device, but working with people at that level is Kytch's ultimate goal.
